Electoral Council: Second Chamber elections on Wednesday, October 29

The Electoral Council advises the caretaker cabinet to hold the Tweede Kamer (Second Chamber / Lower House) elections on Wednesday, October 29. On June 4, the Second Chamber adopted a motion to organize elections as soon as possible. That was after the debate about the rift in the coalition.
In order to have enough time to organize the elections and to allow the political parties to campaign, because there is also a summer vacation, the date of Wednesday, October 29 has been set as the day of the elections.
